As well as being a Musical Director, Beki is also a composer, orchestrator and writer. Having had a passion for writing, Beki discovered her love for being a creative during her time at Leeds Conservatoire where she adapted a musical she had worked on during her time at Manchester for Leeds Theatre Festival. When she’s not working as an MD, you will find Beki on her laptop either on Sibelius or writing a new play

Cracked Spines follows Amber and her journey with PMDD (Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder). Set to premier in 2027, this is Beki’s first written play to be shown to the public.

Beki composed original music for this musical, along with writing lyrics with the help of Bethany Winteringham and Max Barron. The music was inspired by the 80s pop songs originally chosen when it was a jukebox musical.

Beki arranged vocal harmonies for Going Out, an electronic dance musical. Her harmonies were regarded as beautiful, with moments of eerie unease to match the plot.
